Welcome to ZuruBNB! Our platform connects hosts and guests for short‑term stays and property rentals. By using our website, mobile app, and services (“Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Use.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

This Platform and its content are owned and operated by ZuruBNB (“we,” “us,” “our”). Unless otherwise stated, all text, images, graphics, design elements, software, and other content are the intellectual property of ZuruBNB or its licensors.

Trademarks

All ZuruBNB logos, branding, and service names are trademarks or registered trademarks of ZuruBNB. Other product and company names mentioned may be trademarks of their respective owners.

Terms of Use and License to Use Platform

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to access and use the Platform for lawful purposes related to browsing, booking, or listing accommodations.

You May:

View, search, and browse property listings.
Create and manage your own property listings as a registered host.
Book properties for personal travel or authorized use.
Share listings via our share features or by linking to the Platform.

You May Not:

Copy, reproduce, or redistribute Platform content without written permission.
Post or distribute Platform content on other sites or apps without authorization.
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract data from the Platform.
Introduce malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or disrupt services.
Use the Platform for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or misleading purposes.
Exploit Platform content commercially without our consent.

This site may use third‑party services (e.g., maps). Your use of such services is subject to their terms. Review them before use and discontinue if you do not accept those terms.

Payment Terms & Financial Agency

Appointment of Agent

Each Host hereby appoints ZuruBNB as the Host’s limited payment collection agent solely for the purpose of accepting the listing price and other applicable charges (the “Total Price”) from Guests.

Settlement of Obligation: You agree that payment made by a Guest through ZuruBNB shall be considered the same as a payment made directly to the Host. The Guest’s payment obligation to the Host is extinguished upon receipt of funds by ZuruBNB.
Host Liability: If ZuruBNB fails to remit those funds to the Host, the Host typically has recourse only against ZuruBNB and not the Guest.

Payouts and Settlement Timeline

We will initiate payouts to Hosts only after a successful check-in and the completion of a security holding period (typically 24 hours after check-in).

Delays: We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors or banking holidays.
Right to Withhold: We reserve the right to withhold payout in the event of a reported Guest dispute or suspicion of fraud.

Third-Party Processing

Payment processing is provided by third-party providers (e.g., Paystack, IntaSend). ZuruBNB is not a bank and does not act as a trustee or fiduciary with respect to your funds, but acts only as an agent for the Host.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform and all content/services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.

ZuruBNB is not a party to rental agreements between hosts and guests, except for its role as the limited payment collection agent as defined above. We do not verify property conditions, host representations, or guest conduct.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Platform.

Breach of Terms

If you violate these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your account, remove listings or bookings, block access, and/or take legal action where appropriate.

Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes shall be resolved in courts located in Nairobi, Kenya.
